Who this notice covers

Enriching Young Minds, 14029 W. McNichols, Detroit, MI 48235, United States. Phone: (313) 356 6761. Email: YBGBsupport@enriching-young-minds.org. We provide the Young Black Girls in Business ebooks and learning app for families with learners ages 6 to 9, 10 to 12, and 13 to 16. Parents handle purchases, accounts and permission. This notice describes these digital products; it does not describe unrelated donation, volunteer or event forms on other services.

Parent accounts are open. Verified parent permission is required before a learner profile or saved work can be created. Program access also requires an eligible purchase. Membership enrollment remains closed.

Ebook purchases and files

The store uses the adult purchaser’s checkout details, order information and payment status to process the order, deliver the download and handle support. Payment information is handled through the checkout service. The learning app does not receive complete payment card numbers.

Typing answers into a downloaded PDF does not submit those answers to this learning app. Files saved on your device remain under your control. If you use a cloud PDF editor or online storage service, that service’s privacy practices also apply. Do not send children’s completed worksheets with a routine order support request.

Information used in the learning app

The app uses a parent account identifier, a selected learner nickname and age group, purchase assignments, permission records, lesson answers, progress, completed badges and download records. These records connect the correct learning work and purchases to your family.

Optional learning checks store quiz responses and scores, confidence choices, whether help was received, and short project responses. Optional parent reviews store ratings and observations. Weekly reflections and optional feedback are stored when submitted. Support requests record the request type, status and information needed to handle it.

Use the provided nickname choices. Do not enter a child’s full name, school, address, phone number, email, photo, payment details or other identifying details in an answer. The app does not need those details for a business practice project.

Feelings, listening and sharing

The optional feelings choice changes the encouragement on the screen. That choice is not saved or sent to the app’s server. It is not a health assessment.

There are no public learner profiles, child to child messaging, photo uploads or learner voice recordings in the app. Listen starts when selected and can be stopped. The app does not request microphone access.

Where the optional Murf narration service is enabled, the server sends prepared lesson text, not learner answers, nicknames, account identifiers or recordings. Device reading voices may be used instead. Your browser or operating system voice service may have its own processing practices.

Your family can review its saved work. The owner’s learning results report uses grouped scores and ratings; it does not show the project writing from those checks. Eligible score averages require at least five matched families. Evaluations are not published as testimonials or public results. Separate parent feedback is shared privately with the team only when that sharing option is selected.

Services involved

Wix provides the linked store and parent account services. Cloudflare hosts the current learning app and stores its app records in a database. Earlier private previews used OpenAI Sites. These services process information needed to deliver pages, authenticate access, store work or maintain security. Hosting requests can include an IP address, browser information and request logs.

Murf is the optional prepared text narration provider. It does not receive children’s writing through the app’s narration request. Device narration is provided by the browser or operating system.

The learning app has no advertising placements or marketing tracking scripts added by Enriching Young Minds. Do not interpret this as a statement that Wix, sign in services or other linked websites use no cookies. Their notices explain their separate practices.

Parent permission and choices

A purchase or sign in is not permission to collect a child’s learning work. The family setup requires a separate parent permission process before learner profiles and saved answers are allowed. Parent help explains the current permission process and provides a printable form. A typed signature records agreement but does not by itself verify parental identity. Electronic records require owner verification before approval.

Parents can request access, correction or deletion of their child’s information and can withdraw permission for further collection. Contact support from the parent account email so the request can be matched to the right family. Do not email passwords, PINs or card numbers.

Withdrawing permission stops new profiles and saved answers; it does not automatically erase earlier work. Deleting a learner profile removes its learning records from the app’s active database. Deleting the family workspace also removes its app settings and permission request records. Signed electronic consent records are archived separately for 90 days after closure or withdrawal, then removed from the active database. It does not delete the separate Wix account, reverse a payment, or delete copies you downloaded. Contact support about those separate records.

Learning checks and feedback are optional. Skipping them does not remove lesson access, earned badges or eligible completed work downloads.

How long learning records are kept

For saved course answers and related learning records, the selected retention period is 30 days after the relevant paid access ends. This does not automatically delete parent accounts, learner nicknames, purchase assignments or consent records. This is a deletion schedule, not extra lesson access. The separate program download window is 7 days after paid access ends, and only applies to an eligible completed business book.

Scheduled cleanup removes eligible learning records after the relevant paid access ends and the retention period passes. Active purchases, recorded holds and uncertain provider history protect records from automatic cleanup until reviewed. Earlier deletion from the app’s active database is available through parent controls or a verified support request. Parent accounts, learner profiles and ordinary support requests follow the separate documented review and deletion procedure.

Electronic consent records retain the typed signature, parent email as entered, authenticated account reference, exact notice and agreement, server signing time and integrity checksum. Only the parent who signed and the owner reviewer can retrieve the record through the app. Approved records are kept while consent remains active and for 90 days after withdrawal or account closure is recorded; pending signatures are removed after 30 days without approval. These periods support consent review and a short post closure support window. Cleanup runs on the scheduled maintenance cycle. Transaction records, external signed correspondence, support emails and provider backups are separate from this archive and learner answers. External consent evidence and support records follow the documented manual review and retention schedule. Minimal purchase references may remain to prevent a purchase being reused for another learner. Provider backups and transaction records have separate retention boundaries. We do not claim that deleting the app workspace instantly erases every provider’s backup or purchase record.
