Practice first
A real business or sale is not required. Learners can draw, write, calculate and test pretend business ideas with ordinary supplies and an adult’s help. Choose a pace that suits the learner and take breaks when needed.
An adult should supervise tools and materials and handle any real customer contact, payments, public posts or meetings. Never ask a child to meet an unfamiliar customer alone or publish personal contact information.
Stories and business information
Characters and situations are fictional teaching examples. Example prices and earnings are practice numbers unless a passage expressly identifies a real source. They are not recommended prices or promised results.
The materials use United States references. Before real selling, an adult should check the current rules for the specific activity and location, including permissions, taxes and any selling platform’s age requirements. A source review date identifies a check at that time; it is not a guarantee that external rules will never change.
Learning checks and encouragement
Optional starting and finishing checks help a family compare answers to business questions and review a project using the same criteria. Results may rise, stay the same or fall. They do not diagnose a learning need or establish that the program caused an improvement.
Feelings choices and affirmations offer encouragement, not counseling or a mental health assessment. Skipping them does not prevent participation.
Reading and access help
An adult may read instructions aloud, discuss an example or type the learner’s own words. Ebooks can be printed or completed with a compatible PDF reader. App listening features depend on the available narration or device voice and include a stop control.
If text, audio, navigation or a PDF creates an access barrier, contact support with the page or file name, the device or reader used, and what was difficult. Do not include a child’s health information or identifying details. No accessibility certification is claimed.
